Careers
Support in the School
The School of Law offers careers and personal development support through its Taught Programmes Support Assistant, Marika Hildebrandova.
Our school also arranges career and personal development workshops, seminars and one to one sessions for students on all programmes throughout the academic year.
The Student Law Society (LawSoc) and Criminal Justice Society (CrimSoc) have career secretaries who arrange opportunities to learn more about careers in law and criminal justice. They also organise networking events with potential employers.
University Careers Centre
The University Careers Centre offers individual confidential consultations and runs a series of workshops to help you plan your career, write your CV or complete applications.
On campus and open weekdays during term-time and holidays, you can pop into the Centre in person for advice, access to reference materials or to make an appointment with one of the specialist career consultants for the School of Law.
Leeds for Life
We want all our students to get the best out of the whole experience of coming to study at Leeds. We want them to stand out by being able to demonstrate academic excellence and the skills and attributes that fit them for the challenges of the 21st century.
Leeds for Life encapsulates that aim as it gives students an easy access to explore the variety of opportunities offered by the School and the University such as societies, volunteering, internships, sport, work experience and lots of other extra-curricular activities. It also provides space for students to communicate with personal tutors and to keep track of their personal development, opportunities they have participated in and skills they have gained.
