Support in the School

The School of Law offers careers and personal development support through its Taught Programmes Support Officer (Academic and Personal Development).  The post is currently vacant however the General Office staff are happy to assist with any queries.

Our school also arranges career development workshops, seminars and one to one sessions for students on all programmes throughout each semester. Marie Fordham, the School Manager, will notify current students when they are taking place.

The student Law Society (LawSoc) has a Bar Careers Secretary and a Careers Secretary who arrange opportunities to learn more about careers in law and at the Bar and also organise networking events with potential employers.

University Careers Centre

The University Careers Centre offers individual confidential consultations and runs a series of workshops to help you write your CV and complete applications.

On campus and open weekdays during term-time and holidays, you can pop into the centre in person for advice, access to reference materials or to make an appointment with one of the specialist Law Career Advisers.

Life after Leeds

The School of Law organises a "Life After Leeds" event every year that provides students with the opportunity to hear about a wide range of career options from recent Leeds graduates.
