Equality and Diversity
We are strongly committed to the promotion of diversity and equality for staff and students, and for visitors and potential applicants to the School.
In accordance with the University of Leeds' Equality and Diversity policy, selection for admission is without regard to age, disability, gender, marital or parental status, sexual orientation, race, ethnic origin, colour, religion or social background.
We believe that the School is enriched by a student body which reflects the diversity of the community at large and contains students from all parts of the UK, other EU and non-EU countries, mature students and those entering straight from school or college.
The School of Law's Equality and Diversity Committee identifies ways in which equality of opportunity might be enhanced in the School, and its membership includes student representatives.
Students with disabilities can obtain support and advice from the University's Equality Service and from the School's disability contact.
The Liberty Building
The School of Law is located in The Liberty Building on Western Campus. Prospective applicants are welcome and encouraged to visit the School to assess its suitability for themselves. The building has excellent accessibility into and around the building including a lift to all floors.
