Mrs Linda Asquith

Lecturer in Criminal Justice

I graduated from the University of Leeds in 2003 (BA Criminal Justice Studies) and undertook my PGCE in Citizenship (Bradford) in 2004. I spent three years teaching Religious Studies and Citizenship in a high school before beginning my PhD in 2007 at the University of Huddersfield. I returned to the school of Law in October 2010 as a Lecturer in Criminal Justice.

Scholarly and Research Interests

My PhD research focuses on the post genocide experiences of survivors who have migrated to the UK. I am also interested in how individuals recover from victimisation and the resettlement experiences of those who have experienced miscarriages of justice.

Teaching

I teach on the following modules:

  • Introduction to Criminal Justice
  • Youth Crime and Justice
