I am a qualified solicitor and have worked in practice, and in industry, covering both commercial and private client work.

I completed my PhD at Leeds in 2006, after which I took up my current post.

Scholarly and Research Interests

I am interested in consumer credit, both policy and law (UK and European), including secured and unsecured credit, and consumer law generally.

Teaching

I teach sale of goods and consumer credit on the Business Law module.

I teach and run Introduction to the Law of Obligations and am a member of the teaching team for Torts.

I am also teaching and running a new postgraduate Consumer Law module.

PhD Supervision

I have recently been appointed a second supervisor for two PhD students, in the areas of company law and corporate rescue.
