Dr Michael Galanis

I joined the University of Leeds in 2009. Prior to that I taught company law and corporate governance at Queen Mary, University of London and held advisory positions at the Ministries of Justice and Culture in Greece.

I have been a member of several law-making committees and a working group on the Greek bond market regulatory reform at the Hellenic Capital Markets Commission.

I am a member of the Athens Bar Association and the Hellenic Association of Commercial Lawyers.

Scholarly and Research Interests

My research interests are in the following areas:

  • Corporate Governance
  • Corporate Theory
  • Comparative and European Company Law
  • Law and Economics.
