I took up a lectureship at the School of Law in September 2009, whilst completing my PhD research at the University of Limerick, Ireland. My PhD - "The Confiscation of Criminal Assets: Tackling Organised Crime Through a 'Middleground' System of Justice" – was awarded in August 2010.

During my doctoral research, I taught at the University of Limerick Law School. In the Summer of 2006, I worked as a research intern at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in Dublin, Ireland.

Scholarly and Research Interests

My current research focuses on comparative analysis of civil forfeiture in the common law world.

More generally, my research interests come under the umbrella of State responses to organised crime, specifically witness protection programmes, the use of anonymous testimony, and non-jury trials.

I have received funding awards from the Irish Research Council; JP McManus Foundation; Modern Law Review; and Worldwide Universities Network.
