I began working in the School of Law in 1990 after completing the Bachelor in Civil Laws Masters course at Jesus College, Oxford.

At undergraduate level, I studied Law at the University of Leeds. Before that I was a pupil at Exhall Grange, Coventry - a special school for partially-sighted children.

Scholarly and Research Interests

My research interests focus on disability equality, non-discrimination and human rights law. They span the national, European and international fields.

I also have interests in property law - a subject which I have taught for many years.

Teaching

At undergraduate level, I currently teach land law and discrimination law.

At postgraduate level, I teach disability rights and law, EU discrimination law and also land law.

PhD Supervision

I currently supervise PhD students whose work focuses on disability equality and human rights law. I welcome applications from other students in these subject areas.
