I am one of the longest serving members of staff in the School of Law as I have been teaching at Leeds since 1984. I have postgraduate qualifications in law from both Oxford and Harvard Universities.

I have undertaken a number of administrative roles within the School including Undergraduate Admissions Tutor.

As Director of Learning, Teaching and Administration within the School since 2001, I have responsibility for managing the strategic development of learning and teaching within the School and overseeing the student experience.

In addition, I act as programme director for both the three year and two year LLB programmes.

Scholarly and Research Interests

My interests include financial provision on divorce and child protection. I am also interested in the law relating to older people, particularly in the context of family and community care law.

In the context of my interests in legal education, I am particularly interested in internationalisation and widening participation and diversity.

Teaching

I teach undergraduate modules on Family Law and Child Law.

I have previously taught in a wide range of areas, including contract, land and jurisprudence.
