Mrs Norma Martin Clement
Pro-Dean for Learning and Teaching for ESSL

I am one of the longest serving members of staff in the School of Law as I have been teaching at Leeds since 1984. I have postgraduate qualifications in law from both Oxford and Harvard Universities.
I have undertaken a number of administrative roles within the School including Undergraduate Admissions Tutor.
As Director of Learning, Teaching and Administration within the School since 2001, I have responsibility for managing the strategic development of learning and teaching within the School and overseeing the student experience.
In addition, I act as programme director for both the three year and two year LLB programmes.
Scholarly and Research Interests
My interests include financial provision on divorce and child protection. I am also interested in the law relating to older people, particularly in the context of family and community care law.
In the context of my interests in legal education, I am particularly interested in internationalisation and widening participation and diversity.
Teaching
I teach undergraduate modules on Family Law and Child Law.
I have previously taught in a wide range of areas, including contract, land and jurisprudence.
