Dr Zenon Stavrinides

Research Fellow

I joined the Law School as Research Fellow in February 2011, following a period of teaching Political Thought in the School of Politics and International Studies, and Medical Ethics in the Medical School of the University of Leeds. In earlier periods of my career I taught a wide range of areas of Philosophy in various academic institutions, including the Universities of Bradford and Manchester.

I am currently working with Dr Emma Cave on a research project on 'Medical Practitioners, Adolescents and Informed Consent', sponsored by the Nuffield Foundation.

I also worked for the BBC World Service and a number of newspapers.

Scholarly and Research Interests

I have long-standing research interests in Medical and Healthcare Ethics; Moral, Social and Political Philosophy; and Epistemology and Metaphysics.

I also have a strong interest in the development of the Cyprus problem and Greek-Turkish relations.
