Taught Programmes Support Assistant: Learning Enhancement and Personal Development

My main responsibility is to provide student support and to help all undergraduate and taught postgraduate students with their personal development, study skills and career choices.

My role involves:

• guidance and support for personal development planning
• individual advice sessions for students to discuss their personal development needs and general career issues
• preparation and coordination of personal development and career events such as talks, workshops and seminars
• advertising personal development and career events, employer open days, job offers (paid and voluntary), placements and work experience opportunities
• preparation of standard academic references, transcripts and letters confirming registered students status
• cooperation with alumni office, careers and skills centres, student societies
• servicing the staff/student forum
• production of the School’s newsletters
