Ms Karin Houkes
Postgraduate Admissions Officer

As Postgraduate Admissions Officer, I assess applications of those wishing to undertake a postgraduate programme of study.
I am responsible for making the admissions decisions for those applying for a place on one of our taught postgraduate programme (LLM and MA).
My role with applications for a place as a research student is to assist the Research Tutor with guidance relating to the academic compatibility of non-UK qualifications and to undertake the first filter of such applications.
In addition to admissions I also provide support to research students during their time with us to the point of graduation.
I also engage in strategic meetings relating to marketing and recruitment.
I am a qualified First Aider.
I am a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). I read for my B.Sc. Psychology at the University of Leeds; M.A. Psychoanalytic Studies at Leeds Metropolitan University and, M.Sc. Applied Forensic Psychology with the University of Leicester, graduating in 2006.
