Beech Grove House

This conference is provided within the framework of a Jean Monnet Multilateral Research Group (European Commission Lifelong Learning Programme), comprising a partnership between the Universities of Leeds, Bremen and Maastricht.

The project was set up to investigate the topic of "European Economic and Social Constitutionalism after the Treaty of Lisbon" from an interdisciplinary viewpoint, taking into account legal and political science research.

Bringing together the project partners with scholars from across Europe, the conference aims to examine the tensions between economic and social integration in the EU as a multi-level polity, from a theoretical as well as from a themed viewpoint.
