Moa Nasstrom (PhD Researcher): Mixed jurisdictions and Europeanisation of law - a critique of Jan Smit's argument

Moa’s PhD with the provisional title “Is a ‘race to the bottom’ the inevitable flipside of European Legislative Harmonisation?“ has led her to investigate the value of theories around Europeanisation for her work, European Integration and harmonisation.

Dr Li Lei, Nanjing University of Finance and Economics (China), Dagmar Schiek:  Europeanisation and the Chinese Welfare State – welfare rights and citizens’ mobility

Highlighting work in progress, highlighting Europeanisation beyond the EU by comparing the approach of the People Republic of China and the EU to the protection of welfare rights for mobile citizens.

Ana Laura Aiello (PhD Researcher): Europeanisation of disability rights - an empirical approach

In her PhD on litigation as a strategy for people with learning disabilities who are placed in institutional living in three European countries (Ireland, Spain and the United Kingdom –England and Wales), Ana investigates Europeanization through invoking European level rights doctrinally and empirically.
