In the second seminar on EU PhD studies from an interdisciplinary perspective, the speaker will briefly introduce some recent sociological approaches to studying social phenomena (e.g. EU transborder migration and mobility; class and gender formations; EU political parties), elaborate on methodological aspects evolving of sociological studies of EU nation states/ societies, and finally review and discuss concepts of society and identities under conditions of globalization in and beyond Europe.

The workshop will be followed by refreshments.
