European (legal) integration - innovation and austerity
CELLS PhD Researcher Symposium
The years following the financial crisis have been difficult for the EU. The predominant response has been demanding that Member States with budget deficits impose austerity measures on their societies and attempts to regain as much national autonomy as possible.
This development can be seen as a backlash for European integration. Innovation might be needed for finding alternative ways to respond to these challenges. European integration studies (from legal, political science or sociological perspectives) can contribute to this.
The PhD researcher Symposium is generally an opportunity to present work in progress. This year, there is an attempt to focus on recent developments, while maintaining this general purpose.
If you wish to present, please send your abstracts (max. 250 words) to email@example.com until 12 March 2013. If you wish to come as a participant, please also let us know for planning purposes.
