The Centre for Business Law and Practice are pleased to invite you to attend this seminar delivered by Professor Michael Bridge, LSE.

The seminar aims to sum up various developments whose overall aim is to rationalise or control the right to terminate a contract for breach.

Subjects explored include:

  • the interpretation of express termination clauses (with reference to developments in the area of good faith)
  • the potential applicability of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977
  • the penalties doctrine;
  • the significance of making time of the essence.

All welcome to attend. The event will close at 6pm, and will be followed by drinks in the Liberty Building.
