Criminal Justice Careers and Volunteering Fair

The Liberty Building was host to the Criminal Justice Careers and Volunteering Fair this March. This event, which was open to all students in the School of Law, was made up of over twenty exhibitors.

The fair is designed so criminal justice agencies and voluntary organisations can come together and speak with students about a range of career and volunteer opportunities.

Exhibitors included HMP Leeds, West Yorkshire Police (Special Constabulary), the Crown Prosecution Service, the Leeds Youth Offending Service and the Civil Service.

Groundwork and St. Georges' Crypt, two Leeds voluntary sector organisations that deal with ex offender and victim support also exhibited.

As well as external organisations, the event also welcomed the University's Careers Centre and the Leeds University Volunteering Hub.

The Innocence Project and the Legal Advice Clinic from the School of Law also had a stall to encourage volunteering on these high prestige projects.
