Law Student wins Amit Mehta Prize
This years Amit Mehta Prize was given to Mr. Kashif Malik in celebration of his achievements and attitude towards his studies as well as his contributions to the School of Law.
Kashif joined the University as a mature student who is registered disabled. Despite struggling with ill health and complications from his disabilities throughout his studies, often leaving him in considerable pain with restricted movement, Kashif has impressed his course tutors and continues to achieve and perform well in his studies. Kashif also recently successfully conducted his own lawsuit against a large corporation as a litigant in person against various law firms and barristers. In his spare time, he also actively advocates for rights for disabled people.
