Professor Walker new book published

23 September 2013 | Alex Greenwood

Professor Clive Walker's new book Free Speech in an Internet Era: Papers from the Free Speech Discussion Forum has just been published by Carolina Academic Press.

Professor Walker co-edited the book with Professor Russell Weaver from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville.

The collection's papers come from the Fifth Free Speech Discussion Forum that assembled in London in 2012.

This forum involved a combination of leading scholars and practicing lawyers from North America and Europe who came together to explore the internet's impact on the media.

The papers in this collection therefore reflect a rich range of jurisdictions and experiences, with comparative approaches strongly to the fore. Some chapters deal directly with issues around the battles for survival of the established print and broadcast media in an Internet age.

The chapters in this book offer original and authoritative insights into core debates around the interactions between the Internet, media, and law.
