Dr Pinar Akman and Dr Peter Whelan Nominated for ‘Top Twenty under Forty Antitrust Academics Worldwide’

Dr Pinar Akman and Dr Peter Whelan have been nominated in the category of law.

Dr Pinar Akman and Dr Peter Whelan, both of whom are Associate Professors at the School of Law, University of Leeds, have been nominated in an exercise to determine who are the ‘Top Twenty Under Forty Antitrust Academics Worldwide’. The vote is being co-ordinated on a leading antitrust law blog run by Professor Daniel Sokol of the University of Florida.

There are two categories of 'antitrust academic': law and economics. The top 10 in each of the two categories will be announced as winners once the voting is concluded.  Dr Akman and Dr Whelan have both been nominated in the law category, along with 23 others from across the globe.

Voting is currently open and will close at 11.59 am New York time on 17 October 2014.
