Dr Pinar Akman presents her work at the Antitrust Law Journal symposium

Dr Pinar Akman, Associate Professor in Law and the Deputy Director of the Centre for Business Law and Practice has presented her research at a symposium organised by the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Law Journal.

The symposium took place in Lüneburg, Germany on 24 January 2014 and was hosted by the University of Leuphana. The Antitrust Law Journal is one of the world-leading competition law journals and the symposium was organised on occasion of the Journal’s special issue on the modernisation of EU competition law.

As one of the invited contributors to the special issue, Dr Akman presented her recent research on the abuse of a dominant position at this event, which was attended by academics, practitioners and policy-makers. Her research examines the recent reform of the European Commission’s application of Article 102 TFEU to abusive practices. The special issue of the Journal is due for publication in 2015.
