Top level appointment at prestigious Asian Society of International Law
Professor Surya Subedi, expert in International Law has been appointed to the Advisory Council of the Asian Society of International Law (AsianSIL).
Professor Subedi's role, along with colleagues will be to support and advise the Executive Council and the General Meeting in promoting the objectives of this prestigious Society.
Established in 2007, AsianSIL is based at the National University of Singapore. This non-profit organisation promotes research, education and practice of international law by serving as a centre for activities among international legal scholars and practitioners based in or expert in Asia.
Surya is a practising Barrister of the Middle Temple, the UN Special Rapporteur for human rights in Cambodia, and a member of a high-level Advisory Group on Human Rights to the British Foreign Secretary.
