8 October 2015 | Alex Greenwood

Dr Peter Whelan, Associate Professor at the School of Law, delivered a guest lecture at the University of Strathclyde on 7 October 2015.

Dr Whelan’s two-part, two-hour lecture presented research from his recently published monograph, The Criminalization of European Cartel Enforcement: Theoretical, Legal, and Practical Challenges, Oxford University Press. Specifically, Dr Whelan examined in detail the problematic aspects of cartel criminalisation before critiquing recent British efforts to create a workable criminal cartel offence in practice.

The lecture was attended by a large number of undergraduate and postgraduate students and was organised by Professor Barry Roger of the Law School at the University of Strathclyde.
