Dr Peter Whelan, an Associate Professor at the School of Law, travelled to three Indian cities (Hyderabad, Bangalore and Delhi) and presented his research at prestigious law schools.

On 27 January 2015 Dr Whelan visited NALSAR University of Law in Hyderabad, where he presented a guest lecture on his recent monograph on the criminalisation of cartel activity. This lecture was attended by staff and postgraduate students and was followed by a lively debate.

On 28 January, Dr Whelan visited Christ University in Bangalore, where he delivered two lectures on the enforcement of competition law. These lectures were delivered in front of final year LLB students and final year students taking law and business degrees.

On 29 January, Dr Whelan visited the National Law School of India University, where he again delivered a guest lecture on his recent monograph, this time in the context of a staff-oriented law school seminar. A questions and answers session followed the lecture.

That same day Dr Whelan visited the Trio World School in Bangalore, where he explained to secondary school students what studying law at university would entail and the benefits that can be derived from a legal education.

Finally, on 30 January, Dr Whelan visited Jindal Global Law School, which is located outside of Delhi, and discussed his research with relevant academic staff.
