On 18 November 2017 graduates from the classes of 1967 and 1987 returned to campus to celebrate their 50th and 30th year anniversaries since graduating from the School of Law at the University of Leeds. A handful of our alumni braved the cold November weather on a tour of campus led by current students from the School before visiting the new School of Law housed in the impressive Liberty Building. Guests enjoyed a sparkling wine reception before moving on to dinner at University House.
Following the success of our first alumni reception in London last year, our second reception was held at ‘The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple’ on 12 May 2017. Leeds Law alumni were hosted by Head of School Professor Alastair Mullis and his colleagues, where they enjoyed a fine dining reception with wine and canapes in the exquisite Parliament Chamber.

On Saturday 1 April 2017, law finalists from 1977 came together to celebrate 40 years since graduating from the University of Leeds at a dinner held on campus at University House. Guests were invited to
convene at The Liberty Building (home of the School of Law since 2011) before heading across campus, passing the old law faculty, on route to dinner.
Malaysian alumni from the School of Law came together on 11 January to celebrate the Leeds connection. The dinner was held at Acme Bar & Grill and over 40 of our former students joined Professor Alastair Mullis for a relaxed get together with dinner.
A number of our alumni based in Singapore joined Head of School Professor Alastair Mullis for a rooftop reception and dinner at the Naumi Hotel in Singapore on 9 January 2017. As the sun set over the famous Sinapore skyline, Professor Mullis shared news and success from the School of Law and encouraged them to visit should they return to the UK in the future.
Graduates and guests from the class of 1969 were welcomed back to campus on 3 December, 2016, following a twenty year reunion in 1989, and a forty year reunion in 2009.
Our esteemed alumni were given a tour of The Liberty Building, home to the School of Law since 2011, and enjoyed a drinks receptions while reminiscing over photographs and stories from the previous two reunions. The reception was followed by a three course dinner at University House.
Almost 100 alumni and their guests joined us for a fantastic reception hosted by the Lord Low of Dalston CBE, held in the Peers’ Dining Room of the House of Lords. The event brought together alumni spanning eight decades of the School’s history.
Guests were given a private tour of the Houses of Parliament, followed by a wine reception and a welcome speech delivered by Lord Low. Professor Alastair Mullis, Head of School, then gave an overview of the current work of the School, speaking about the School today and the importance of our alumni community.
Over 30 alumni from the School of Law, who graduated between 1950 and 1974, joined Head of School, Professor Alastair Mullis and a number of his colleagues at a dinner on 6 May, 2016.
Guests were welcomed with a sparkling wine reception and invited to take a tour of The Liberty Building, the new home of the School of Law, before dining at University House, a fine dining suite in the heart of the University of Leeds campus.
Many School of Law alumni came together on 13 January, 2016, to celebrate their time at the University of Leeds. A dinner was held at The Klapsons Boutique Hotel in Singapore and was hosted by Head of School, Professor Alastair Mullis.
Solicitors, partners, judges and academics were aquainted and reunited over a festive feast at this stylish Singapore hotel.
Over 40 Malaysian alumni from the School of Law met with Head of School, Professor Alastair Mullis, in Kuala Lumpur, on 12 January, 2016.
Guests, spanning decades of life at the University of Leeds, met for drinks and canapes in the relaxed environment of La Bodega in Bangsar, during Professor Mullis’ trip across South East Asia.
School of Law alumni explored the new facilities at the School of Law’s new Liberty Building as part of an alumni event held by the school on 14 September 2011.
Retired judges and solicitors, law professors, government lawyers, partners and associates in major law firms and graduates successful in business and the voluntary sector attended the event as alumni of the school.
