What motivated you to apply to study your chosen course and why did you chose Leeds?
Enthusiasm for my topic and a strong desire to self-improve are my main motivations. The excellent quality of research, expertise of supervisors and access to funding are the reasons why I chose Leeds.
How would you describe your experience at the University and what elements would you describe as the most enjoyable?
An open study environment and supportive supervisors, intelligent colleagues, and friendly staff make my experience here extraordinary.
What do you think of your course? How is it helping you?
I am able to research on my chosen topic under proper guidance from my supervisors. Although my course does not have taught modules to attend, the university does provide a wide range of training courses and workshops for me to develop my skills. I am also grateful after being offered a teaching opportunity this year - a life-enriching experience.
How would you describe the help and guidance given by the staff within the School?
I am extremely satisfied with the support given by the staff. My supervisors guide me to sail through any difficulties I encounter; and the school provides teaching opportunities for PhD students to expand our knowledge and practice our teaching.
What would you say about Leeds as a city?
This city provides a quiet study environment but also has a prosperous commercial area.
