Facilities for research postgraduates
We house our research postgraduates in the Law Graduate Centre, and encourage you to take an active part in the School's activities by attending seminars and conferences.
We supply every student with access to desk space, a lockable storage space, a good quality computer cluster with printing facilities and a very convivial and collegial environment -- including a social room -- in which to undertake their work.
The University's Graduate Centre also provides additional facilities, and runs training courses and social events.
The Law Graduate Centre is only a short walk from the University's main research library, the Brotherton Library, which contains a well-stocked collection of relevant books, journals, materials and sources.
The Brotherton Library contains an excellent range of source materials from various jurisdictions, as well as computer clusters and wireless access.
The Law Library is located in the main reading room where there are study spaces both within the main area and in several rooms leading off from the main rotunda.
The Law Library has excellent resources in English, European, international and comparative law, as well as a large number of electronic databases that you can access outside the Library and even off-campus.
We also have a dedicated team of librarians that can help you navigate your way around our resources.
