Research at the School of Law

The School of Law fosters and promotes research in all major fields of legal study.

We recognise the growing internationalisation of research agendas in legal, socio-legal, and criminal justice studies.

All year round we run lively programmes of seminars, lectures, workshops and colloquia, host visiting scholars and work with policy makers.

Our strategic focus has been on Global Law and Justice as a unifying theme and a driver for further research development.

Leeds Social Sciences Institute

The LSSI is a large and vibrant research Institute that works to support and enhance the Social Sciences at Leeds. It fosters interdisciplinary research collaborations and provides training for our postgraduate researchers.
