Equality – A New Legal Framework

Based on his new book, Professor Sir Bob Hepple (Chair of the Equal RightsTrust/ Cambridge University) will evaluate the accomplishment and shortcomings of the Equality Act against the background of years of national and international research and reflection, to which he has contributed considerably (see inter alia Hepple et al "Equality: A New Framework", "Report of The Independent Review of the Enforcement of UK Anti-Discrimination Legislation" 2000).  This talk will also offer the opportunity to discuss advantages and disadvantages of the new legislation comparatively and with European perspectives.
