'International and Comparative Criminal Justice and Urban Governance', and WUN International Colloquium
LSR1, School of Law, 20 Lyddon Terrace
The aim of the colloquium were to draw together leading international scholars and critical practitioners working at the interface of questions regarding international and comparative criminal justice.
The participants would take stock of the implications of internationalisation and policy transfer across:
- international criminal trials and alternative justice resolution
- comparative penology
- comparative urban governance.
Nearly forty international delegates attended the international colloquium hosted by the Centre for Criminal Justice Studies at the University of Leeds 26-28 June.
Delegates included representatives from China, New Zealand, Australia, Canada and across Europe.
The international colloquium discussed diverse local, national and international contemporary security challenges in the fields of comparative urban governance, comparative penal policies and international criminal justice.
The proceedings will be published in a forthcoming book by Cambridge University Press.
